CKay debuts at number one with ‘Love Nwantiti’ on the maiden edition of the Billboard US Afrobeats Songs Chart.
Popular musician CKay has debuted at number one with his hit track ‘Love Nwantiti’ on the newly formed Billboard US Afrobeats Songs chart unveiled by Billboard in partnership with Afro Nation festival.
The newly launched chart to celebrate the growth of Afrobeats in the mainstream market was fully dominated by the singer Tems, who appeared a total of eight times on the chart and CKay, who held the number one position on the chart as well.
‘Love Nwantiti’ has been a certified hit, with the hit song being the most streamed afrobeats song by a Nigerian on Spotify. The classic song has also debuted on the Billboard Hot 100 chart and the top 200 charts.
