Prolific American magazine TIME has announced Wizkid’s Essence Remix as its second best song of the year.

American news magazine TIME has announced Wizkid’s ‘Essence (Remix)’ as it’s second best song for the year 2021.
The smash tune, hailed as the “song of the summer,” originally featured Nigerian talented songstress Tems and was released off Wizkid’s ‘ Made in Lagos’ album in October 2020. Due to the global acceptance of the song, Wizkid decided to drop a deluxe version of the ‘Made in Lagos’ album which also had the remix of the smash tune ‘Essence’ featurng Tems and Canadian superstar Justin Bieber.
“Essence,” which was nominated for a Grammy Award in the category of “Best Global Music Performance” in 2022, has been doing well all year.
As the buzz continues, the iconic American new magazine has ranked it as its second best song of the year, behind ‘Pepas’ by Farruko.
Taylor Swift’s “All Too Well (Taylor’s Version)” was third on the list, followed by Lucy Dacus’ “VBS,” Yoasobi’s “Monster,” City Girls’ “Twerkulator,” Olivia Rodrigo’s “Good 4 U,” El Alfa’s “La Mama de La Mama,” Morgan Wade’s “Wilder Days,” and Doja Cat’s “Woman.”
According to Wikipedia, Time is an American news magazine and news website published and based in New York City. For nearly a century, it was published weekly, but by March 2020 it had switched to once every two weeks.
