SARE is a follow up to Simi’s previously released 2021 singles; ‘So Bad‘ and ‘Woman‘.
So Bad featuring Joeboy is a mid tempo love pop record with element of Afro-pop and R’n’b. While, Womanis a song about uplifting women as much as it is about pointing out the institutional barriers placed on them, Simi points out societys unequal treatment while demanding for a more equitable system. She decided to celebrate Strong women (the ones that defy the things built/ designed to make them weak) with this single.
