Buzzing Nigerian, singer, songwriter, producer, and instrumentalist, Chukwuka Ekweani, popularly known as CKay, has revealed how Afrobeats superstar Wizkid influenced his last performance at the 02 Arena.
Recall that Grammy-nominated Wizkid recently concluded a 3-day “Made in Lagos tour” in the United Kingdom, an historic event which ran back-to-back for three days, and he brought out names like Grammy-winning Nigerian superstar Burna Boy, Jamaican sensational act Koffee, Skepta, Eugy, and the buzzing CKay, amidst other incredible acts.
Speaking on The Afrobeats Podcast hosted by UK-based broadcaster and ardent promoter of Afrobeat in the diaspora, Adesope Olajide, CKay revealed that it was Wizkid’s idea for him to perform an acoustic version of his smash hit ‘Love Nwantiti’ first, before going on to perform the recorded version at the 02 Arena in London.
