Funmi Awelewa dedicated the mansion to her mother and siblings and revealed she would embark on a new journey in a few hours.

The actress took to her Instagram page to pen an appreciation post to her blind mother.
She noted how her mother’s hand was the first hand that held her.
Admitting all her wrongs, Funmi apologised to her for the mistakes she made and for the worries she caused her.
“Maami Thank you for being the first place my heart could call home. The hands that held me first are still the ones that hold me when I feel lost. Dear mom, I’m sorry for the worry that I have ever put you through as I learned my mistakes and you still help carry me through. I love you and thank you for everything.
When I fell and cried, mom you were always there to pray and cry with me to make it go away. It is because of you, that I am stronger. Your prayers keeps me going… Thank you! As I’ve grown older, I realize all you give up for me and I hope to do the same for you. I hope to make you happy for the rest of your life. For all the times you have given things to mu siblings and I, all the times you sold your best clothes just to feed us, for all the times you couldn’t meet up standards with your friends because you want to give us best life. It is time for me to start giving back to you, Moinmi. Thank you for giving me wings so that I may try to learn how to fly even though you sometimes have to catch me when I fall.
