Highly controversial and popular street hop act, Portable, who’s self-tagged as “Idamu Adugbo”, has re-emerged as a topic of discussion on social media following the circulation of a throwback video of him at the End SARS protests grounds.

In the video, the singer was spotted with a graphic cardboard with the hashtag and action words “End SARS”, “Soro soke werey”, saying; “Ejoor e ba wa End SARS, won ti n ko wa po en o”. Calling for an end to the now defunct arm of police, the singer had stated that Nigerian youths were being indiscriminately profiled, and noted that young South-Africans were living peaceful and lavish lives.
Today the 20th of October marks the second End SARS protests memorial, as a result, the video of Portable had started making waves. The memorial was commiserated with a walkthrough at the Lekki Tollgate, organised by rapper, Falz. Singer, Wizkid also made an online tribute to the lives lost with an Instagram story post.
