Seizing the moment while the Joeboy and Asa lawsuit circulated on Twitter as a trending topic, the rapper uploaded a snippet of a single off his coming album, Young Preacher titled I’d Be Waiting, saying, “Hi queen Asa (@asakemusik), I sampled your classic on the outro of my album, my team has reached out to yours for clearance. thank you 🫡”
It’s however worthy to note that while the rapper had mentioned veteran singer, Asa who’s currently handling a court injunction from producer, Tempoe and has slammed Joeboy with a lawsuit, Blaqbonez had tagged the rapidly rising act, Asake. Fans have since shared their speculations regarding the tag, stating that it may be a sort of a doubly packed appeal to Asake for the number one spot on the charts in the country as well as Asa to clear the sample and not incur a lawsuit.
360 by Asa is a single off her debut album, Asa (Asha) whereas Blaqbonez’s forthcoming album is set to be the rapper’s second studio album and will be out on the 28th of October.
