Mixed and shocking reactions have trailed the online beef between popular rapper MI Abaga and music journalist Joey Akan.
In the early hours of Thursday, May 19, 2022, popular Nigerian rapper MI Abaga took to his social media platform to respond to a tweet by popular music journalist Joey Akan about the visit of DaBaby to Nigeria.’
MI Abaga had called Joey out for disrespectin g rappers following his tweet about DaBaby’s visit to Lagos Nigeria for a video shoot with Davido. Joey Akan had been quick to respond that the rapper did not have any need to demand for respect when in the past his artistry had automatically earned him the respect.
MI followed with a tweet stating that the music Journalist was an enemy of hip hop in Nigeria, to which Joey Akan had accused him of spilling secrets about artists to soil their image and reputation.
The series of tweets between them had spurred mixed reactions from social media users who had chipped in one way or the other.
