Nigerian actress, Ini Edo has sought donations for a 30days old baby who was born with no eyes for surgery to be performed on the baby in order for the baby to gain sight.
Ini Edo reacted distressingly to the video of the 30days old baby born with no traces of eyes.
She intimated that some people who still have their babies intact with no traces of defections were just graced by God.
She described the baby’s condition as “Anophthalmia”, a birth defect where a baby is born without one or both eyes.
According to Ini Edo, a series of tests and scans done on the baby shows that the baby has eyes but will have to undergo surgeries.
She said that the surgery will be at three stages which include the outer false opening, the eyeballs, and the corrective surgery all to be done in India.
Ini Edo further revealed that the estimated amount for the surgery is N6,000,000 as she appeals to benevolent Nigerians to aid with some donations to raise the money.
Taking to her IG page, she wrote;
“For many of us that our kids is in good and sound health don’t know the Grace.😢😭
This baby is just 30 days Old Born with no traces of eyes (👀) called (Anophthalmia) a birth defect where a baby is born without one or both eyes.
Series of test and scan discover that the baby is having eyes, But will need to undergo some surgeries which includes, the outer flssh opening, the eye ball opening & corrective surgery which will be done in India🙏😭😫.——-Estimated surgery Bill is NGN6,000,000.00 (6million naira) 😭😭🙏🙏.
