Mavin Records star girl and chart-topping singer, Ayra Starr, has opened up on the state of mind she was in when she wrote her latest hit single, Rush.

Sharing on this in an interview at Cool FM, the singer made it known that for her, the song had been a means of reassuring herself as she’d been in a place of uncertainty. Ayra Starr said; “When I made Rush, I was in a phase where I was unsure of myself. And I grew up, a confident person. I felt like everything was someone else’s idea, it wasn’t me, so I wanted to find myself, be in charge, take agency and that’s when I made Rush.
Ayra Starr’s Rush has rocketed to the top of the charts since its release on the 16th of September, even going as far as to become the number one song in the country for several days and is currently on the fourth position on the Apple Music Top 100 Nigeria charts.
