Popular Actress, Faithia Williams has pitched her tent with her Nollywood colleague Funke Akindele over the ongoing feud with her Nollywood colleagues Toyin Abraham and Iyabo Ojo.
The war started earlier this month when Toyin Abraham and Funke Akindele both chose same date, September 10, 2021 to release their movies; ‘Ghost and the tout too’ in the cinemas and ‘Omo Ghetto the saga’ on Netflix.
Nollywood Actress, Iyabo Ojo, added more fuel to the already burning fire by calling out Funke Akindele days after the movies were released, for paying a popular movie citric to ruin Toyin Abraham’s movie.
The popular movie critic talked ill of Toyin Abraham’s movie, it reads;
“Not recommended for intelligent people. Over the years, we have told you many truths but non Greater than this: Intelligent minds were not taken into consideration at all in the writing and in the making of ‘Ghost and The Tout Too‘.
Regardless of how flagrantly it copycats off ‘Ómó Ghetto: The Saga’ desperately hoping to shine like it. Unlike that one ‘The Ghost and The Tout Too’ doesn’t understand that movie-making is rooted in brain-work and not in using cinema to do “Yahoo”, abusing stardoms to fleece fandoms.
If you are intelligent, you are better off staying back home this weekend to watch ‘Ómó Ghetto: The Saga,” part of the critic’s review reads.
Iyabo Ojo who is not happy with the criticism fumes, saying “How much did Funke pay you to write this rubbish? The day she begins to find ways not to talk to bad about her fellow colleagues or discredit their work or personality, that day she will begin to experience inner peace”
Actress Faithia Williams, who is also the former best friend of Iyabo Ojo has now chosen sides by publicly declaring her support for Funke Akindele on Instagram.
Faithia Williams did this by responding to Funke Akindele’s post on Instagram where she shared a video of Omo ghetto’s theme song, Askamaya, with clap emojis.
