Music giants BTS has been invited to the White House by US President Joe Biden, a visit that would center on key issues involving the Asian community.
Arguably one of the biggest artists in the world today, BTS has been confirmed to be meeting with US President Joe Biden at the White House on Tuesday, May 31, 2022, to celebrate the Asian American Native Hawaiian Pacific Islander Month.
The visit was confirmed today, Thursday, May 26, 2022, by the White House press. The group’s visit to the white house would center around discussing Asian inclusion as well as the anti-Asian hate crimes. The group is known to be very vocal in addressing social and societal issues as they have lent their voices and also made an impactful contribution on issues such as the UN’s Goals for sustainability, the Black Lives Matter campaign and the anti-Asian Hate campaign.
The statement released by the White House also added that the Grammy-nominated group:
“will also discuss the importance of diversity and inclusion and BTS’ platform as youth ambassadors who spread a message of hope and positivity across the world.”
