Actress Foluke Daramola Speaks On Alleged Marriage Crash

Nigerian screen diva Foluke Daramola has reacted to reports that her marriage to activist and businessman Olukayode Salako has crashed.

Reports of the marriage crash hit the blogosphere recently, claiming that the couple had parted ways over irreconcilable differences.

Debunking the report, Daramola in an interview with Saturday Beats stated that its disappointing society wants only negative news about celebrity marriages.

Answering the question to her response to the unhealthy rumours about her marriage, the thespian said;

I feel so terrible and frustrated when in a society, the only thing we ever want to read about and celebrate is scandal and marriage break-up.

 I don’t know why some people are just devilish and may be depressed to the extent they feel that there’s a need for them to just sit somewhere and write rubbish at the detriment of someone who has been building her name for a long time.

They want to dent my image without thinking of the repercussion of their actions. I think that we’re in a very terrible society where we only celebrate negativity and scandals.

I don’t know why some disgruntled elements will just feel a need to want to continue to rubbish and drag my marriage in the mud. It is so preposterous and annoying.

Meanwhile, her husband earlier in the week reacted to the marriage crash rumours affirming that he and his wife still sleep on same bed.

The politician took to his Facebook page on Monday to state that since he got married to his wife, “merchants of beer parlor and pepper soup joint journalism continue to write their rubbish about us.”

He said, “Foluke Daramola Salako and I still share the same bedroom. In fact, we woke up on that same bed this morning. Let those silly merchants of beer parlor and pepper soup joint journalism continue to write their rubbish about us. They have been doing it since we got married.”
