Following Wizkid’s sensational loss of two potential awards at the 64th Grammys and the huge disappointment being expressed by his fans, a throwback video of the singer has been shared to reinforce the debate.
In this old video, Starboy told British supermodel, Naomi Campbell in an interview that he does not care about awards.
Wizkid who set his sight high on grabbing something for his popular song Essence featuring Tems and Made In Lagos album lost out on both the Best Global Music Performance category and Best Global Music Album category respectively.
In the interview, Wizkid said he does not care if he is nominated because what matters to him is knowing that his songs get to his audience and they appreciate it in various forms.
The video has probably been retrieved from the archives by fans of his rival musicians to rub salt in the injuries of Starboy FC- the generic name of the fanbase of the Nigerian superstar.
