David Adeleke popularly called Davido has been awarded by South Africa Music Awards (SAMA) as the winner of ‘Rest of Africa’ award.
SAMA revealed in a virtual ceremony held last night that Davido ’s ‘A Good Time’ album won him the ‘Rest of Africa’ category.
Due to the Corona Virus pandemic the annual South African Music Awards 2020 ceremony will span from 3 – 7 August 2020. Each episode of the music award ceremony would run for 30 minutes except for the last day which would be the grand finale.
In the first episode of SAMA Davido’s ‘A Good Time’ album was announced the winner of the ‘Rest of Africa’ award. The category was contested by other artistes like Sha Sha, PsychoYP, Isabel Novella, Sarz x WurlD.
