The management of Benue State University, Makurdi on Friday shut down the institution following student unrest over tuition fees.
This came after it prevented students yet to pay tuition fees from sitting examination, which commenced on Monday.
Some students of Benue State University sent out of school for being unable to pay their schools fees has attributed it to the failure of the state government to pay salaries.
While protesting today, the students held placards claiming snake has swallowed their school fees.
The state commissioner of police, Fatai Owoseni, was at the school to pacify the students during a peaceful protest on Friday.
